Tips For Taking Pictures
- Know which way your property faces (N,S,E,W). Take the pictures when the sun is shining on the façade (in other words, the sun is behind you). Properties that face East is best to take them early in the morning. Properties facing West is best in the afternoon. Properties that face North and South are a bit trickier. Observe at what time there is more sun on the façade and less shadows.
- Try to take the pictures on a day when there is a lot of sun and few clouds. Sometimes a cloudy day will produce less shadows.
- Make sure your home is "Picture Perfect":
- Don’t leave gates, garages or doors open.
- Move cars, motorcycles and bicycles so that they will not obstruct the view.
- All windows should be either open or closed.
- Do not leave toys, cars, garbage cans, etc. blocking the view.
- If possible, do a little gardening, plant some nice flowers to give your property “curb appeal”.
- Take pictures in the highest possible resolution.
- Take several pictures and choose the best ones.
Camera Types:
Digital:
When you take the pictures, make sure you take them in the highest or next to resolution posible. If you do not have a digital camera, borrow one from a neighbor or a relative.
Send a maximum of six (1 front of property + 5 additional) pictures to info@forsalebyownercostarica.com . Make sure to incluye your name and phone # with them.
35mm:
Take the pictures, scan (300dpi) them and email them to info@forsalebyownercostarica.com or mail them to PO Box 403 Moravia, San José, Costa Rica.
If you do not have a camera, we will be glad to take pictures for you for a nominal fee.
